Pictures: 750 children participated in the Dubai International Tennis Championship
More than 750 students from all over the UAE have arrived at the Dubai Tennis Free Tennis Stadium to participate in the Children's Day event held in conjunction with the Dubai Duty Free Women's Tennis Tournament in Dubai.
The event was attended by students from 13 schools, and everyone enjoyed a tennis session that included all ages and skills, as well as recreational activities, taking pictures and meeting some tennis stars.
The two-hour event was organized by a number of trainers at the Clark Francis Tennis Academy in Dubai, where children were given the opportunity to acquire some of the skills of this game.
Both Kiki Bertens and Sisi Bilis, two guests on the Children's Day event this year, gave them some information on how to develop their tennis skills.
The students then spent an enjoyable time playing tennis at the main stadium before welcoming German Angelique Kerber, former world number one and winner of two Grand Slam titles, who joined them to share their joy and play with them for some time and sign them to tennis balls, shirts and caps. .
Some of the children were selected from schools that participated in the partner school program launched by the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Tournament this year.
"I love to participate in the Children's Day, to meet and play with young people from all over the world, and I think it's a great idea to give tennis to children and to have a little fun with them," she said.
