The opening drew me in right away, it felt very like a story being told!
This is just so well written throughout, the descriptions of the return to consciousness were just fantastic. The experience, the whisper from the other side, the voice, creates such an uneasy sense of horror, i loved it. You create such a skilful build to breaking point, it gives a real immersive experience.
There are so many little bits in here to love, lines the create such a strong picture.
A roiling murmuration of starlings careened across the landscape like a twister

The amount of work that goes into hosting these, from coming up with prompts and writing the announcement posts, to reading the entries, to judging them and issuing awards, sounds exhausting. Thanks for putting it all together!
