In the old golden days the teenager did have a very hard life style from working int the factories to farming in the heat of the summer to watering the plants int he cold of winter .But with the advancements of technology and the change in our society those problems are gone but ere replaced with the new ones of today. Today we will discuss 5 of them.
1.Depression
Nowadays even the teenager are having depression periods a ridiculous amount of about 20 percent of the teenagers will experience extreme depression before reaching adult hood and unfortunately many of them succumb to suicidal thoughts as well and end up suiciding. In the recent statistics it was noticed that the teenage girls were more depressed than the boys and scientist believe that it is because of the electronic devices as they prevent them from physical outdoor activities that ward of such periods of depression.
2.Bullying
Bullying is also a huge problems in the teenagers as of no about 40 % of all the teenager have been involved in bullying either being the victim or the bully and they can also succumb to horrible periods of depression and anxiety .Scientist believe that this increase in bullying in the teenager of today is because of the rise in social media as it ends up highlighting it .So please if you think that your teenager is suffering from being bullied please have him/her sit down and talk with you.
- Drug abuse
In today's teenager the drug abuse issue is rising at an alarming rate due to aforementioned depression and bullying and it doesn't help that the electronics media of today makes it very easy to get a hold of drugs.
- Alcohol
According to statistics it is good to know that the teenage alcohol consumption has actually gone down in the past decade. But as it turns out even still about 33% of the highschoolers reportedly have said that they used alcohol in the last month.
5.academic problems
although the overall rate of high school dropout rates are decreasing but the high school teenagers are still dropping out of their schools they literally cannot take the pressure of having good enough grades to go to a good college.
