The power of green energy

According to The Economic Times, in 2024 India expects to receive up to 260 GW of energy from renewable energy sources.

This information was confirmed by the Secretary of the Ministry of new and renewable energy (RES) of India Anand Kumar.

The authorities are confident that the rapid development of RES in the country will be facilitated by public orders, private investment and investment from the pension Fund.

By the way, in India over the past 5 years, the total production of renewable energy increased by almost 150% to 77.6 GW. According to the rate of introduction of alternative energy sources, the state together with China is on the leading position.

Meanwhile, not only India can demonstrate the results of RES development. Institute of solar energy systems Society named after Fraunhofer (Fraunhofer ISE), in July provided a report on the use of green energy sources in Germany. It turned out that for the first time in 6 months in this country RES produced more energy than coal and nuclear power plants.

Coal and nuclear power plants took 43.4%, another 9.3% of electricity was obtained from gas, and the remaining 0.4% from other sources, including oil.

By the way, this year Ukraine is expected to introduce 2.7 GW of new renewable energy capacity. This will increase the production of “green” stations to 7.5 billion kWh.
Uzbekistan also sees significant potential in wind power generation, it is planned to build wind power plants with a total capacity of 500 MW. With regard to solar energy, Uzbekistan is already implementing a pilot project for the construction of a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 100 MW.

From all the above it becomes clear, there is energy transfer in the world energy. And RES electricity can almost compete with the generation of electricity from fossil fuels.
