Snapchats new feature the snap map
Snapchat has added a new feature on the app, the snap map, what is it and why?
The Snap Map feature has been introduced with the latest Snapchat update. Users swipe two fingers toward each other on the camera screen to open a world map. This allows you to zoom in and out to see where friends and events are.
The map shows, among other things, the location of friends. It is always possible for users to turn off the option (temporarily) if the location is not required for publicity.
It is also possible to start a conversation with friends immediately by tapping their cartoon puppets. When a group of friends are together, they can start a group chat.

The map also contains snaps from unknowns. For example, there are certain events or busy locations that are displayed with circles. Additionally, there are hot spots on the map, where users tap, to see what's happening around.
As usual on Snapchat, all posted videos and photos will be automatically deleted after 24 hours.
It seems like a fun new feature! However, I wonder if it will affect people's safety
