3 Hidden Modes In Android Smartphones
The three hidden modes to smartphones are:
- Fast boot mode
- Download mode
- Recovery mode
Note: mind you; not all stated here pertains to all smartphones, as the products differs, so the features.
- Fast boot mode: this mode is used to flash the phone firmware using command line tools, it is also used to root android phones and gain access to other hacks to your phone.
Note: it can void your warranty.
To access this mode:
A. make sure your phone is fully charged; at least average.
B. Power off your phone.
C. Press and hold call and end call buttons/power keys.
- Download mode: this mode is also used to flash the phone firmware. Mostly this mode is used by GUI tools and Odin for easier and quicker flashing to avoid phone from crashing.
To access this mode:
A. Have a fully charged battery, power off your phone.
B. Press and hold volume down. (On other phones; you press and hold the power button and volume down).
- Recovery mode: this mode is used for recovery purposes like to reset the phone firmware.
To access this mode:
A. Power off your phone.
B. Press and hold volume down and power button together. Once the alert triangle is shown on screen like the one below. Be patient, it will reset the phone and restart automatically.
