Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the ability of a machine or computer to be able to learn and think like humans. The term AI was coined out in 1956 by “John McCarthy” who defined it as “the science and engineering of making intelligent machines”
According to another source it states "Artificial intelligence (AI) traditionally refers to an artificial creation of human-like intelligence that can learn, reason, plan, perceive, or process natural language".

The major feature or characteristics of AI is, to efficiently take actions that have the best chance of yielding positive results, and primarily goals of AI are based on learning, reasoning and conscious understanding.
Examples of some machines with AI includes a chess-playing computer machine, a self-driving car(modern day technology)

Cyber Defense, on the other hand, I prefer to describe it as advanced security measures taken by private sectors or companies to protect their quantified efforts and collective information from hackers and in other words, I call it “Cybercrime fighting”. In general cyber defenses analyzes various possible threats in a cyber environment and then help in creating methods or strategies needed to counter malicious attacks in the system.

According to a source, "Cyber Defence covers a wide range of activities that are essential in enabling your business to protect itself against attacks and respond rapidly to evolving threats".
And this includes cyber impediments to reduce your appeal to the attackers.
The cyber defense also helps in boosting effectiveness in areas of security resources, expenses, etc.

AI has strongly been of much help in the IT world and I can’t help but think that in the not so distant future, I am afraid the use of human manpower will be utterly needless.

According to “Jeff Goertzen” "In cybersecurity, even AI companies worry that the bad guys will use artificial intelligence to launch more potent attacks"
With improved stages of cyber attack or in other words “kill chain” AI enables endpoints which include vulnerabilities with software, antivirus, asset health controls to ensure threats are contained, and audits are passed more efficiently.
At the moment, the applications implored in the field of cyber defense belongs to the application of artificial neural nets in perimeter defenses.

AI can propose to Cyber defense professionals a way to enforce quality Cybersecurity practices and reduce drastically the attack surfaces instead of just constantly chasing after malicious activity.
And the rate at which the strategy of cyber attackers (hackers) is improving, in the near future, "it is most likely that with the use of AI, hackers could identify weaknesses in computer security software, and avoid detection by developing mutation softwares" stated “Cyber securities”

Recently, as a result of Cybercriminals constantly devising new ways to breach cyber security systems and firewalls and becoming much of a threat to companies and organizations, traditional methods used in detecting these threats and malicious software on the cyber system have become obsolete.

And in order to avoid these and future attacks, companies urgently need to be more prepared and smarter by gaining upper hand in employing advanced AI Cyber defense system or software to protect themselves from hackers.
