I don't know about their hearphones but I just convinced an OSX fan to move to a Windows based device. The hardware of the HP Spectre x360 beats everything apple has in store by a big margin and is much cheaper. Apple is doing bold experimental product and one day I believe they will fail hard and fast.

Mac desktop - Fail (too little too late)
Macbook - Fail (Dongle fiasco)
Macbook pro - Fail (too little too late)
iOS - Lagging behind android on many levels like customization
iPhones 7 - No Headphone jack
Apple Watch - Gimmick with no battery life.

Basically everyone using iOS and OSX has to bend over and pay premium to use their product. I'm so happy not to have any attachment to their products.
