Safe data management
Have you heard about the student who has finished the work and when he arrives at the store to print, his pendrive does not open, it was damaged or lost and he does not have a backup anywhere ?. Here are some rules for handling and safeguarding data in an appropriate way:

- Any portable media can be lost, if you make a backup on an external disk and take it to another place you risk losing the data.
- Before applying a change in the data, before trying to fix a damaged file or media, always perform a previous backup, if the process fails, it can be restored and started again.
- Correctly identify all backup copy media, with the date, time and period to which it belongs, also indicate the type of copy ( complete or incremental / partial ), the container type ( packaged or compressed ), and identify the volume when using several media, the correct mode is 1 of 4 2 of 4, 3 of 4, 4 of 4.
Today there are many free and quality tools to help us with the process of supporting our data, from companies such as Google, Microsoft, and Apple among others.
Google Photos is a recommend application to protect the photos and videos that we take with the mobile, works perfectly on Android and iphone phones, you can download from "Google play" and "Apple store", to start the application accept the default settings, especially the conversion of photos and videos to Google format, this allows free storage without limit of space in your Google account, the photos and videos you take are automatically saved.
Another very useful application, is "Cobian Backup" (http://www.cobiansoft.com), in this free use program for Windows can be programmed automatic backups, uses the technology of "shadow copy" which allows backup files and database open and / or in use
