CHECKING OPEN PORTS AND SERVICES RUNNING

1. First of all you need to install kali linux which can be used as a virtual machine or you can install as an operating system,to download the kali linux goto https://www.kali.org/downloads/ download the version that suits you.

2)Install using Virtual Box from https://www.virtualbox.org/ as a virtual machine which does not harm your main operating system

2. There are many softwares which are used to check the open ports for example nmap,zenmap etc

3. Zenmap provides more Information about open ports, vulnerability, target operating system

4. Using different scans you can get the detailed information.
