GoPro Karma + Hero6 Black Ongoing Review
Today I thankfully was able to get out and test my latest toys again!
Because of connection issues in dense population/neighborhood issues I like to test the distance over the water and today I chose Puget Sound as my playground. It was windy today, about 10 mph which is the most I currently feel comfortable operating in and was honestly impressed with how it did but chose to move inland when landing for an easier time.
My video feed was great until I surpassed 1500ft and the furthest I made it was 1800ft. It turned around and came back to me before reaching 1900ft but I was not singularly trying to get distance. The ferry I was tracking was getting far enough away and I was getting cold so I was losing interest. For a product that declares 3000ft+ as the limit, I have so far not been entirely impressed. I have yet to reach 2000ft let alone 3000!
Once home I edited it briefly with the mobile GoPro Quik app that is the world's okayest video editing software before sending it to my Youtube channel. Thankfully I was able to get some pictures!
