The new macbook after 3 weeks use
So i got the new macbook pro, the one with a touch panel.
Im going to state features that are avaible and what i think about them after use.
The Color
Lol this is probably a wrong place to start but i really like the space grey color , its just so unique , quiet and nice. The color suits in well with my room , home , car and workplace just like that !
The Touch Bar
When i saw this on the promotional videos its seemed like a desperate move for apple to act innovative. Now that i have used it , its still not really a hit for me, but neither is it a miss. The best use i found for it was the fingerprint scanner , that feature is so great and helpful , for logins , apple id ... so yes thats great for me. However when we get to other applications ... the touch bar is not that helpful its actually frustrating in some cases , for example im in microsoft word and listening to music. Now i want to increase or decreas volume , the steps i have to go through for that are too much for me, that is selecting the app then increase the volume. The touch bar there is a miss.
I also think the touch bar would have been more helpful if it was at the bottom of the keyboard than at the top... picture this you have your fingers on the mouse pad and you want to close an application, the touchbar displays the option to do so, what would you do ? A. Move your hand all the way up to the touchbar and close the app B. Close the app with the mouse on the mouse pad
Lol i always do B , anyday! Closing an app cant be that hard! Anyway its one man's opinion and this is just examples im giving which are not exhaustive.
The USB type C
(Clears throat) To be honest i was pissed off when i saw this like ?? Apple , all my staff is odinary USB , what do you want me to do? I want to continue with my work asap , anyway i get to the apple store buy a USB - USB type C connecter. Its pretty anoying to carry around by the way but oh well what can i do. Then after some time i notice my data transfer speeds are super fast. I also decide to research on USB type C , and i personally conclude Apple is right, USB type C is the future every gadgets company knows it they just dont have the guts to make the drastic move and apple does. So thats a hit for me.
The Apple Logo
Why does it not light up (crying). Lol its a small thing but some of us bought macs for tht reason. I used to be a DJ ,imagine its dark, there is good music every were u look up to the DJ and all you see is the apple logo.. nice right??? Ok maybe not but i miss the lighting up logo.
The perfomance
Perfomance apple never disappoints i get what i want done , on 8 gig ram. I love the memory which is 500gig (compared to my precious macs , 120 and 90)
Final Judgement
Short answer , Its a good machine. It gets the job done for me , quiet well , i will need to adjust to new features but its fine im not afraid of change.
