ADA Kalina turned into an unmanned electric vehicle

Now a lot of companies around the world are working on the creation of unmanned vehicles. Most actively this direction is being worked out in the West, but both Chinese and Russian specialists do not want to stand aside. This is confirmed by a new photo of the unmanned electric LADA Kalina, shown by NAMI in its Instagram.

Strictly speaking, there is not much left from the basic model. In fact, we have a brand new car. By the way, the first model of the now famous Tesla company was Tesla Roadster, which was also based on Lotus Elise. Electric drone "NAMI" received an electric motor with a maximum power of 72.4 kW. With regenerative braking, the power of the electric motor, which switches to the generator mode, is 37.2 kW.

One battery charge is enough for LADA Kalina to travel up to 50 km: the maximum speed is 120 km / h. Here again an example of "Tesla" arises. The fact is that the charge of the lithium-ion battery Tesla Model S is enough to overcome the distance of more than 400 km.

More interesting is the concept of an unmanned automobile. Autopilot "modernized" LADA Kalina is able to turn on the motor and operate the machine on a straight line at speeds up to 60 km / h. The system can perform rotations using the directions of the navigator. It is able to "recognize" road signs and markings, give different signals to other participants in the traffic, and also direct the car in front of the car in front. At the same time, developers do not disclose all the details of their creation.
