Bluetooth headphones (LPT660) review
Few days ago annoyed by getting earphones and trying to untangle them I decided to look at aliexpress and see if there are some nice bluetooth headphones. As always my search on aliexpress consists of typing criteria, sorting by number of orders and then looking at reviews/star rating.
That is how I found those headphones. First thing that attracted me was price. Depending on color price was around 15USD (Black/Blue ones were 15.88USD and white/pink 13.36USD) and shipping was free.
All 3 pairs came in 14 days from China to Serbia and one box was pretty damaged and I feared that maybe headphones were also damaged but fortunately all three pairs were just fine.
Headphones are packed with features. It’s incredible what they put in them for such a little price. You can connect them to your Computer/Phone/Watch… via Bluetooth and listen to music or talk (they have microphone built-in), you can listen to FM radio or you can listen to your mp3 from micro SD card and you can also connect headphones to computer/phone via 3.5mm connector (you will need cable with 3.5mm plug on both sides not provided with headphones) or when you plug USB cable into computer they get recognised as usb sound card and you can play sound via USB cable and that got as surprise 5 days latter.
When you power on headphones you will be greeted by lady in annoying Chinglish telling you that device is ready to connect, then on phone/computer… you click on headphones (“LPT660”) and you will instantly get connected to headphones (there is no pairing pin or any other security feature). On right headphone (there are no labels for left and right label so I used youtube video with left right sound test to determine which one is which) you have power on switch, M/EQ button that when short pressed toggles between few equalisation preset (very useful) and when long pressed changes between modes Bluetooth/FM/microSD, long press Volume down/short press previous song, play pause/answer call and long press volume up/short press next song.
Sound coming from them is surprisingly good. Range is also great sound was ok around 20 meters away without obstacles from the phone. One thing I noticed was while listening them at office and at the same time testing router on my desk is that when I started speedtest on phone connected to router via 2.4Ghz WiFi music started getting distorted.
Curious by this I looked at router and saw that router is auto on channel 6. Then I tried changing channel to 1 and there was much less interference and finally I tried switching to channel 13 and there was no interference at all. This should not happen considering that bluetooth is using frequency hopping and headphones were supposed to switch to some other channel. That got me thinking what will happen when multiple headphones are near each other and since I bought 3 pairs for each member of the family this test was easy to pull and all 3 pairs worked simultaneously without problems.
So if you get poor range and problems with sound quality and you are near try changing channel on your wifi router.
Build quality is worst thing about those headphones. Don’t get me wrong for price they are perfect. They look great, size can be adjusted and they can be folded just when you look them up close they look cheap and fragile. Glossy plastic on top of them looks like scratch magnet. But all in all I would buy them again and recommend them to everyone. Here is quick list of features:
- Bluetooth playback with microphone for answering calls
- Micro SD card mp3 playback
- 3.5mm analog audio playback (cable not provided)
- USB cable playback (USB sound card in headphones)
- FM Radio
- Equalizer presets (5-6 presets that you can toggle with button)
- ~10 hours of battery playback
I hope you enjoyed this review. If you have any follow up questions regarding this awesome cheap Bluetooth headphones feel free to ask
