yep you are right about what might happen but as you state that AI is devoid of human bias and might prove to be better for us; in that scenario we need to realise that our rational intellect will become so redundant that we might loose ability to judge.
In such a case, where AI is governing the world instead of humans, I think there are two scenarios that will emerge. One, the programmers of the AI will be elected individuals who will be able to use their rational intellect and second, we humans will just continue to do what we do today, only in a better system than the current governments of the world.
