Oneplus 6 will have a Notch, says company's co-founder

Carl Pie co-founder of oneplus confirms that their next phone will have a notch. He describes the notch in a positive way "adding more screen real estate insted of taking anything away".

The notch on the oneplus 6 will be smaller than the iPhone X's notch but will be bigger than the essential's. The notch will measures 19.62*7.69mm. There will be no complicated tech like in iPhone X for face unlock, instead the oneplus will use front camera for face unlocking resulting in a smaller notch. A smaller notch can also result in smaller front camera and earpiece, means there is a chance for lower quality photos and audio from the earpiece.

The new phone will also free up room from bottom by removing the on-screen buttons replacing with gestures just like in new iPhone. The notch and the gestures makes it clear what footprints oneplus is following.

Recently there was a leak of the oneplus 6 and now after Carl's confirmation, it seems its a real deal.

Yesterday Carl Pie was interviewed by the verge in which he said to learn to love the notch, he even tweeted " Learn to love the notch" but soon deleted the tweet after the outcry from the fans. The outcry is the proof that people are not happy with the notch.
