RE: Technology and its upcoming dystopian effects.

in #technology7 years ago

I'm more concerned for the will of the people to surrender their privacy to the social media system. We now that there is a risk, but willingly put our data on the web and keep nothing to ourselves. In the real physical world yo can choose to who you open your life and thoughts, but in social media anything you write can be seen for a lot of people around the world.
We are coming to a point where is more important the opinion of your followers than the real interaction with your family and friends.
Other concern -with more inmediate effects- is the dependency of technology to make the day. For most of the things you need an ID validated on a system, a credit or debit card to pay or a code to validate who you are and how much you worth for the rest of people. If there is a failure y in the system, everything stops. Also, there are some places where the government had created registers to rate citizens according to their will to comply the party faction in charge.
