Hey & welcome back to "Lets talk - Cloud Computing"
In this post I'll talk about the advantages of the private cloud.

Private Cloud

In contrast to the public cloud, a private cloud is protected and only available to a closed circle of users - usually a company. Access is via the company's intranet or a VPN firewall, for example. Hosting of a private cloud takes place in the company's own data center (On Premise) or at an external provider. The latter then usually provides a Virtual Private Cloud. If desired, however, dedicated computers can also be rented.

Advantages of private cloud

• Control and security over all data and services, as resources are not shared with other companies
• More exclusivity
• Influence on location and type of data storage

However, the current trend is away from the use of a private cloud towards the use of public and hybrid cloud models.
