Very interesting but my first question is this: How does Brave make money? Or DuckDuckGo for that matter? I'm sure they just didn't develop a new browser for giggles and grins. And besides, I like my Adsense revenues! It's a give and take... tit for tat world, and always will be. I must say though, that if you get tired of all them bearded dragon ads, do a few searches for girls in bikinis... at least your future ad choices will be more eye appealing!
haha. think my better half would have somet to say about that. but the answer to your first question. they are both open source.
Brave makes money by having it own ad network but shares the money with you as well. Duck duck go is a search engine that allows ads to be optional it makes money by people who whitelist the site and donations :)
