Linux Ubuntu OS

in #technology6 years ago

Ubuntu is an operating system developed from the Linux kernel and based on the Debian architecture. It was created in 2004, initially for computers and later also for servers with the "Ubuntu Server" version. The project is funded by the company Canonical Ltd, based in the United Kingdom, whose owner and founder is the South African entrepreneur Mark Shuttleworth. The profits come from the services linked to the operating system, since Ubuntu is distributed in free mode.

The latest version of Ubuntu is the 18.04 called "Bionic Beaver" that was published on April 26, 2018. Every six months we expect a new version of Ubuntu that traditionally has nine months of support for security updates. Canonical also offers special versions of Ubuntu oriented to Smartphones (Ubuntu Phone), Tablets (Ubuntu Tablet), Televisions (Ubuntu TV) and Business (Ubuntu Business Desktop Remix).
