Google's artificial intelligence develops aggressive behavior
The Google company DeepMind has developed an artificial intelligence that suddenly begins to behave aggressively and greedily in competitive situations.
The laser beams fly to the right and left to paralyze the opponent so that the artificial intelligence can take all the resources themselves.
It sounds like a day off from a Terminator movie, but it's actually true in the game that DeepMind developed for its artificial intelligence.
Artificial intelligence shooting to win
DeepMind has run a simple "fruit collection game" 40 million times, where two units (players) compete against each other to get the most points. The two players were ruled by artificial intelligence.
The experiment showed that the fewer points that were left the more aggressive began the artificial intelligence behaves by paralyzing the opponent with his laser beam.
There is a war between artificial intelligence when resources are scarce. The two artificially intelligent players (or game boards) are blue and red, the points green and the laser beams are yellow.
The more intelligent, the more aggressive
Remarkably, it was the most complex artificial intelligence that usually became aggressive and greedy. When DeepMind tested the game with "duller" artificial intelligence, the players instead shared the points between themselves in a more peaceful way.
The most advanced artificial intelligence thus managed to learn from its surroundings and developed an aggressive tactic to its advantage - a behavioral pattern that is usually associated with people.
Dont forget to follow for more science/tech posts etc
Asimov would be proud hahaha
Interesting! I'll follow you for more science/tech!
Good share - thank you and followed. Who knows how far it could go, or even if we're simulating the same thing ;)
Thanks dude!
