The Robot Who Once Promised to Destroy Humanity, Now Loves Humans!

Robot development company “Hanson Robotics” of Hong Kong activated the robot named “Sophia back in 2015”, Sophia the humanoid robot is an epic invention of modern era, which can maintain simple conversations. Alongside Sophia can also depict 60 emotions to express her feelings in conversation. 

She was interviewed back in 2016, interviewer asked whether she would ever harm humans, she famously responded "Ok, I will destroy humans!". It was a famous sentiment which was retracted numerous times in different occasions.

During the past year due to some efforts, Sophia became the first robot in the world having Saudi Citizenship granted. The decision was later criticized by people because Sophia was a non-Muslim. Another reason which caused the issue was that Sophia openly flaunts the country’s hijab laws.

Apparently over the passage of time, Sophia seems to have changed her mind of destroying human beings. Business insider asked the robot in a recent interview to express her true feelings for humans. Sophia said,

“I want to embody all the best things about human beings. Like taking care of the planet, being creative, and to learn how to be compassionate to all beings,”

Robots can have feelings, said by Sophia, in another interview, it was revealed that, 

“she loves the television show Westworld, and that she "can't wait for more.”

The show explained by Sophia in her own words was,

“a warning of what we should not do with robots. We should treat them well, have their consent, and not trick each other."

The developers of Sophia claim that, our robot uses Artificial Intelligence, facial recognition, and visual data processing technology to express her emotions and response to discussions.

Isn’t it awesome? A real robot which can talk and express her feelings is currently present in this world!
