The Robo Dog, Aibo is the Best Robot of 2018 CES
Sony wants to build more on the area of artificial intelligence and robotics, all gathered under the name of "AI x Robotics".
One of Sony's several projects with artificial intelligence is called ERS-1000, or more easy Aibo.
A new version of Aibo was presented at CES 2018, it charmed everybody and it won the title for the Best Robot / Drone of 2018.
It's composed of 4,000 parts and is much more flexible than the old model.
- The first Aibo was a success. Of course, it came at a time when artificial intelligence was far from today's capability, but users attached themselves to these "home" gadgets.
Sony claims that the new robot dog can develop and maintain an emotional bond with the household members, offering love, affection and joy. Artificial intelligence helps them learn, and adapt to users.
- has cute, expressive OLED eyes and a camera inside his nose, which can be used as a webcam for your home when you're away.
- has a quad-core CPU, built-in LTE and WiFi, also sensors, motors and gyroscopes to a better control over the 22 different articulated parts.
The Aibo robot is currently available in Japan alone and costs over $ 1,800. For $ 26, the dog gets a bone. It can even carry it in the mouth and reproduce the behavior of a dog.
The bad part is that the autonomy reaches just two hours, and the charge lasts for three hours.
