This is the beloved progress bar of those who were oriented to "user friendly" systems like the Microsoft Windows Operating System. Since these types of system are closed source nobody bothers to check anything and induced an environment where users are too lazy to check anything. They even parrot the mantra that open source is bad and it introduces vulnerability to your code. And since everybody in this user friendly systems are lazy. Social engineers see all this as opportunity to earn money. All they have to do is create a progress bar in a window using Visual Basic and voila a perpetual cash cow was born.
Just look at this phony web application. It will ask you download a Bitcoin Generator. And then after executing the application you will then see the progress bar reaching 100% and then it will ask you for some miner's fee. They know how to exploit the Bitcoin network but they don't know how to properly send a Bitcoin. Only those who worship the progress bar and those who hate Bitcoin and thinks that it is hackable would fall prey for this type social engineering.
This stupid web application did not even bother to check if my Bitcoin Address is valid. It just checked for number of characters. It did not make use of RegEx. A very lousy programmer. But an excellent social engineer.
Now look how the green striped progress bar move creating my bitcoins using the proven exploits in the field of hacking. Now let this be a lesson to those who worship the progress bar. Your stupid anti-virus and anti-malware are just stupid progress bars. Your lazy lifestyle turned you into progress bar zombie.
