Intel showed model smart goggles

Over the years, a number of companies have tried to create functional and affordable smart glasses. Google Glasses has never been able to win its place under the sun, something that happened to the Snap Spectacles brand.

However, this does not stop the giants from Intel from making their own experience in this unsuccessful market. The hardware manufacturer introduced a prototype of its model smart goggles called Vaunt, The Verge, quoted by TechCrunch.

Intel's smart glasses seem like ordinary dioptric glasses. Instead of having climbing screens, antennas or whatever you think, the Vaunt is made of standard plastic frames and weighs less than 50 grams (similar to Snap Spectacles). The device also does not have a camera.

Inside the frame, however, is what makes glasses smart - laser, processor, accelerometer (accelerometer), Bloetooth chip and compass.

The laser, which Intel says is "so low-energy that is barely on the bottom of the class one lasers," projected a monochrome image in your eyes at a resolution of 400 x 150 pixels. The image can remind you of someone's birthday, send a notification coming from your phone or scan that you are in the kitchen and show a recipe for a dish.

As the laser centers directly on your retina, the image is always in focus.
