Wuling Borrow Technology GM, It's Reaction Chevrolet Indonesia

Chinese car manufacturer, Wuling, has given birth to their flagship MPV car, Confero S, in Indonesia. Interestingly, the technology on this one car is very similar to the car technology made by General Motors.

It is also recognized PT SGMW Motor Indonesia as the agent holder of Wuling brand in Indonesia. The similarity is very reasonable considering that in China itself Wuling is working with General Motors.

Then what about the response of Chevrolet Indonesia? Do they not feel threatened by Wuling's football in Indonesia?

Wuling himself is present in Indonesia with 'full strength'. In fact they have invested heavily including building factories in Indonesia. Not with the lure of the price is certainly much cheaper than its competitors.
"Actually I can not comment on other brands, but if you want to talk the technology of course we lead to consumers," said Yuniadi Haksono, Director Communications & External Affairs General Motors Indonesia.

But Yuniadi seems still reluctant to justify or refute if the technology implanted Wuling on his car have in common with Chevrolet technology.

It only confirms that Chevrolet focuses on customer satisfaction including by presenting the latest technologies. (Mus)
