Lamborghini Urus Launched; Price in India Starts at INR 3 Crore
The Lamborghini Urus Super SUV rivals against the Lexus LX, Bentley Bentayga and the Range Rover SVAutobiography.
Lamborghini India has launched the world’s fastest SUV – the Lamborghini Urus in India, priced at INR 3 crore (ex-showroom India). The Urus is imported into the country as a direct CBU import. The Lamborghini Urus is only the second SUV from the Italian car maker after the Lamborghini LM002, which was launched over 30 years ago. The Urus is underpinned by Volkswagen Group’s MLB Evo platform, which also underpins the Audi Q7, Porsche Cayenne and the Bentley Bentayga. Such has been the success of the Lamborghini Urus that all units of the SUV have been sold out in India even before the SUV was launched in the country.
The Lamborghini Urus made its global debut last year and is manufactured at the company’s facility in Sant’Agata Bolognese. The super SUV has been positioned between the Lamborghini Huracan and Aventador S, while the SUV competes against the Lexus LX, Bentley Bentayga and the Range Rover SVAutobiography. Some of the design highlights include a full LED headlights system with Y-shaped LED DRLs, larger front grille and air-dam with horizontal slats. Other highlights include 21-inch machined alloy wheels, arrow shaped LED taillights and body cladding with silver skid plates.
Dimensionally, the Lamborghini Urus Super SUV measures at 5112 mm in length, 1638 mm in height and 2016 mm in width along with a wheelbase of 3003 mm. The Urus gets leather upholstery with Alcantara inserts, digital cockpit with two touch-displays, 3-spoke steering wheel and a drive mode selector, which is called the Adaptive Network Intelligent Management (ANIMA).
