Our current data output is 2.5 trillion bytes of data per day, according to IFL Science. About 90% of the world's data is generated in the past two years. As the world has a growing number of connected devices, data will also increase in coming years

Domo released its fifth year statistics on creating online data and behavior around the world in the "Never Sleep 5.0" graphics. In general, the Internet population has grown by 7.5% since 2016 and now includes more than 3.7 billion people. On average, the United States alone produces 2,657,700 gigabytes of data per minute

Internet-based media and services have experienced strong growth recently. Amazon, YouTube and Netflix are among the three companies using the largest Internet bandwidth

The 2016 report shows that more than 3.5 million text messages are sent per minute. In 2017, this number is 15,200,000 messages, an increase of 334%
