Google removed from its search engine one of the features it launched in 2010 - Instant. This function output search results as the user enters a search query, each time adjusting to the specified wording.Another famous feature of Google search - search assumptions - will remain, but Instant does not work anymore. Now the answers to the search query will appear only when the user selects the final query. The Instant function worked like this:
In the company itself, this decision is explained by the fact that when launching the goal of Google Instant was to provide users with information as quickly as possible, along the way of printing a search query on desktops.
Since then, the share of the mobile audience has grown a lot, where there are other rules for entering a search query. Google Instant was removed to look for other ways to speed up the search on all types of devices, as company representatives explained in a comment on Search Engine Land.
