Brussels says NO to 5G

Brussels is the first mayor city of the EU to halt the 5G installations. In July of 2018 the government had agreed with three telecom operators to relax the strict radiation standards in Brussels. But Céline Fremault, the Minister responsible for Housing, Quality of Life, Environment and Energy, in an interview with L'Echo stated: "I cannot welcome such technology if the radiation standards, which must protect the citizen, are not respected, 5G or not. The people of Brussels are not guinea pigs whose health I can sell at a profit. We cannot leave anything to doubt.”

Their current radiation standards is 6 volts per meter and this has led to problems providing 4G in the capital but Céline Fremault says she won't make an exception to the companies that want to install 5G. With Belgium being one of the two countries addressing this topic to the EU hopefully many others will look into the damages it can cause and not just look on the money making side.

Is 5G harmful?
It's a question not many countries ask themselves before going ahead and installing these new 5G technologies. It is hardly been studied on human effects and mixing it with the complex mix of low frequencies will probably have a negative outcome on public health. The radiation the 5G emit are high frequency millimeter waves and are equivalent to airport scanners, you might not think airport scanners are harmful if you only go through them only every time you travel but with 5G we would be exposed continuously. And as the range of 5G is much lower to 4G they have to install many cell towers with about 250 to 300 meters between each other so we would be under constant radiation.

An interesting story is in the English town of Gateshead where the council installed many 5G arrays on the top of lampposts and these emitted Class 1 Radiation frequencies, the residents claimed that since the installation there was an increase of illness and cancer in the area but the council had ignored them. One of the activists known as Mark Steele was spreading information about the dangers of 5G but the Council ignorantly rebutted clear evidence and created false allegations on social media stating Mark was spreading Pseudo Science, so Mark took Gateshead Council to court claiming 5G technologies were causing the residents to get ill or get cancer, in Court none of the council officers could explain what 5G, Mark left as a free man and the council had to pay up £11k of taxpayers money to cover the court cost.

Brussels and Gateshead are examples that people are actually understanding the dangers that 5G could cause if it is installed in our cities without any thorough studies of the dangers it could cause, but with many people ill or getting cancer in the cities where it's been installed without the residents consent, we can conclude that most governments care more about money than peoples health.
