A cell phone case that transforms into a drone and allows you to take photos and videos up to 13 meters high
You can already carry a drone in your pocket and with a price within everyone's reach. It's about Selfly, a smartphone case that is also a drone. Although its scope is not of the largest, the device allows to obtain aerial images of up to 13 meters away and controlled by the cell itself.
How does the sleeve-drone work?
The device has two formats: sheath and drone. When it is adjusted to be a cell phone case, its thickness is 1.2 centimeters and can be placed in the pocket without fear of breaking, this works for Android phones and iPhone sizes between 4 and 6 inches.
To transform it into a drone, it is very simple. Slide the robot with the camera with the propellers of the base and connect it. You can control it in three ways: buy a joystick and connect it to the drone and cell phone to guide you manually. The other two ways depend exclusively on the cell phone. The user can see the flight of the drone in real time and control their movements in a synchronized way or can adjust the configuration of the image before flying, for example, if it is defined that it should fly at a height of 2 meters and make a turn of 360 degrees, the device captures the image autonomously.
The drone has a battery independent from the cell phone and can not hold more than 4 minutes of flight, as well as its range can not exceed 13 meters away. The quality of the camera is 12 megapixels and it can record videos in full HD.
