RIP Video Card and yet another stick of RAM...
Rest in peace, dear MSI video card. You didn't exactly have a hard life. I never used you for mining. I barely ever gamed. I never even managed to get you to train AI models because I gave up on trying to get the stupid Cuda bullshit to work. You did run my two monitors though. You displayed all the websites I visited, the research I did, the porn movies I watched. For two short years, you did everything I asked of you.
And now you died like a little bitch, and I have to use my stupid ass onboard Intel video. I had to spend hours recompiling programs to work with Intel rather than Nvidia because of your lazy ass quitting on the job.
2 Years
2 years MOTHERFUCKER!
You only lasted 2 years. Fuck you! That's no fucking time at all.
I can't be spending hundreds on video cards every few years. I don't even fucking game. What's the hardest thing you had to do? Play some GTA Vice City? How many years old is that? And you couldn't even put up with that for longer than 2 years. Were you bored or something? Did I not game enough? Maybe you wanted to play that stupid ass winter survival game I got in early access that they're probably never going to finish at this rate.
You Died Right After Your Little Cousin
Hey, ya fuckin POS RAM module! Why the fuck did you die? I wasn't even overclocking you. This makes the 3rd RAM module to die in this computer. HOW THE FUCK!? Well, I guess that's what I get for cheaping out and getting RAM on sale. At least you lasted this long.
What happened?
My video card and another RAM module just died! Were you not paying attention?
The other day I woke up, and I tried to turn on my computer, and the mother fucker just screamed at me with all these fucking beeps. So I held down the power button, opened her up, and checked if everything was seated properly, and tried again. Still fucking beeping! So then, by some fucking miracle, I decided to try taking out the RAM, and put it back in, in case it was fucking loose or something. While doing so I happened to switch their positions. Well by some miracle, the computer turned on!
It was only later that I realized my computer was acting slow as shit occasionally and figured correctly that maybe one of the modules died and I was down to only 4 gigs. That's fucking right, from 16 gigs down to 4. I never got around to buying replacements for the first two that failed, and then I ended up wanting to switch to Ryzen.
Then the next day, when I started to lag from too many tabs open in my browser, I decided to restart it, so it could clear out all the crap from having it on all night, and have it be a bit quicker again. Big mistake. When it turned back on, the monitor was just black. No signal. The fucking video card died! The fucking video card died, after the RAM module!
What do I do now?
Honestly, I don't really fucking know. I had planned on getting a new camera. I still do. But this is an extra expense now I didn't expect right away. My computer is not really as capable now in it's hobbled form, and I don't really want to just buy new RAM. So I'm somewhat fucked.
I had been considering eventually buying a laptop so I wasn't always tied to a desk...but that's really not a viable option for my main computer. I'm too much of a multi-tasker. For me, a laptop was just something to be able to blog on the go. I would go fucking nuts trying to use a little POS laptop for my actual computer. If I did, I would have to spend a lot more. I can just imagine a little POS laptop crying like a little bitch as it tried to display a candlestick chart, chat, play a movie, and blog, which is just like my casual shit. It would shit bricks trying to compile something.
That would mean I would have to spend more like $1500, rather than just a few hundred, and it would mean it wouldn't be that fucking portable likely and would have horrible battery life, and shit cooling. Been there. Done that. Fuck that.
So I'm left thinking I should buy a small form factor motherboard. Something I can fit in a case I can put in a small bag. Then I have to fit a monitor in there as well. Lovely.
I'm not giving my new camera up for you, motherfucker! Just means I have to hussle harder!

Awww, poor vid card! Did you try to water cool it with a bottle of Aquafina? Time to do some shopping, it seems! Nobody likes relying on the Intel chipset! Good luck!
RIP video card. Condolences geek! I can feel your pain in the 21 f words. :D
But seriously, hope you get a replacement soon.
Don't go crappy on the Intel onboard graphics! If that decides to kick the bucket, you will be in a world of hurt now!
Man, i freaking hate my MSI laptop. Overheating piece of expensive garbage
That's what I hate about laptops, and why I don't even have one right now. So many get so hot and are barely usable.
But they're alright for browsing the web.
buy nvidia you cheapass
That was an Nvidia card, manufactured by MSI.
I'm gonna switch to AMD though. I hate Nvidia as a company. They're scammers and scumbags.
It must have been your SMPS then. you've gone cheap on supply, you cheapass :P
Nope. Though I got it on sale, it's a pretty nice power supply.
