The Rules for Secure Operations

These are not mine, this is a compilation of knowledge over years of experience and study. Mistakes have been made and sometimes we learn the hard way. I am attempting to help so that you don't have to take the same path. Some of these are self evident but still are of note. This will be a multi-part series, as there will be many rules to learn from, as there have been many lessons. ABC. Always Be Careful.

Rule 25: Don’t spend time trying to move your opponent, just move yourself.

Rule 26: The time to take counsel of your fears is before you make an important battle decision. That’s the time to listen to every fear you can imagine! When you have collected all the facts and fears and made your decision, turn off all your fears and go ahead! (Patton)

Rule 27: The more sophisticated the technology the more vulnerable it is to primitive attacks. People often overlook the obvious.

Rule 28: If you’re happy with your security, so are the bad guys.

Rule 29: Security won’t work if there are too many different security measures to manage, and/or they are too complicated or hard to use. (Colsch’s - Keep It Simple - Maxim). See Rule 7.

Rule 30: The quality of your friends always matters more than the quantity.

Rule 31: Always be surrounded by the right people.

Rule 32: Always provide correction in private and praise in public.

Rule 33: If you have a secret, the best thing is to keep it to yourself. The second-best is to tell one other person if you must. There is no third best.

Rule 34: When you’re with someone you love, make sure in that moment they know they’re the center of your world.

Rule 35: He who angers you conquers you.

Rule 36: Be mindful of all the possibilities in the future, but don’t be ruled by them.

This set of rules are still success oriented, but also speaks towards the human element. As you can see, this continues to build on the original 12 and the following 12. Stay safe.

Damn son! Loved it. Please keep them coming, I get stoked when I see these get posted. Upvoted, resteemed, tweeted as must-read Operational Literature.

Where's the best place to find more of your writing?

I will keep it up, at least a couple a week. As always, I appreciate your support but I'm just happy to share. Always operating....

The only Rules that I consciously avoid breaking. I've been grabbing them, cutting and pasting, consulting as needed, often daily. ChronicOps, I hope you know how inspiring these are, and how much they are appreciated.
Always moving and improving this life, harder better fast stronger.

I am reading this on 7.6.18, I thank you for this post. It is relevant to me in many ways. I was on a call from a "dis-appointed" event Leader, who couldn't understand how "they" had came up short on profit on a recent event. The retort from this person was, "people should know". My response was, "did you inform them?". I was dismissed as being un-sympathetic. My profit margins were MUCH higher, I communicated with my Team. I really appreciate this article and am sharing.
