Techno- Report #13 - The wall T.V
An unprecedented launch has been made by the South Korean firm Samsung, which has opted for a renewed television of enormous dimensions, as much as the size of an average wall. Named The Wall, it reminded me a little of the all-time superband album Pink Floyd, this 146-inch TV is equipped with microLED technology that I always imagined would happen at some point.
Its use can be modular, that is to say we can reduce or put bigger the dimension without distorting the image, it is like having several televisions in only one and integrated to a wall.
With the integration of MicroLED technology, the company eliminates the traditional rear lighting mechanism, since the new technology has its own lighting, of course does not escape the classic way of composing images through 3 pixels, RGB red, blue and green. All this makes it a serious competitor of OLED technology, as microLED technology makes blacks blacker and colors brighter.
There are still many questions, because it does not have a date of market launch and what everyone fears, the price. It is evident that the wall with all its characteristics is intended for the middle classes of the population.
If you ever saw to return to the future or blackmirror you have realized that in some chapters appear televisions very similar to this one, with which we would have the possibility of turning The wall into a picture, mural, natural landscape, bringing more decoration to the house.
Another of The wall's most notable interests is artificial intelligence, which will allow you to convert any low resolution format into 8k resolution. This is possible thanks to an advanced algorithm integrated into the TV itself that adapts the resolution depends on the quality of the image, working on four levels, reduces image noise, restores the edges, and gives greater definition to the colors and finally optimizes the sound, making our experience is always rewarding.
On the other hand I must say that there are people who reject that the human eye can not see in 8k or even in 4k, the problem is the distance, if we have an 8k screen we have to be average about 3 meters away to appreciate the result, but
if we approach it is obvious that we will not perceive much, and after 8k I think to launch virtual reality as the new world in vision to explore. Because after 8k if it is true that not even with bionic eyes you could notice something.
As usual companies with their marketing sometimes tease us, showing functions that can not even be perceived by humans, only with the intention of selling the product as a novelty.
I think there is nothing that can surpass the day that the Lumiere brothers showed the world the cinematograph. That if it was a true experience, of innovation it seems to me excellent the size of the screen and the capacity to enlarge or to put small the screen, or that the same television comes like a wall that you can add in your house without it being noticed as a television and that you can ambient to your taste the house, those are the benefits that really seem fascinating to me.
Of the rest it seems to me that the technological companies that have to do with communication, it is the case of televisions, audio devices and cell phones or laptops should be sincere technology and not offer more than what will never be within our reach for purely biological reasons.

With a TV that size, you could open up your own movie theater. It will be very interesting to see what price is attached to this TV. Middle class folk like myself may not be able to afford this monster until it is out on the market for a while. Like all new products, give it some time and the price will drop drastically.
Most people may have to put on an addition on their home, otherwise they may feel like they are constantly sitting in the first row of a movie theater.
