Apple officially announced the presence of its new iPhone iPhone X on Tuesday (12/09/2017) at Steve Jobs Theater, Apple Park, Cupertino, United States.

As a marker of the 10th anniversary of the iPhone, of course iPhone X brings a number of new innovations that had never been in the previous iPhone line.

Even so, some of the innovations brought by the iPhone X is actually not new, but it has been present before in Android phones. What are the features in the iPhone X cheats Android smartphone smartphone?

1. Face scanner

In addition to fingerprints, later popular faces are used as biometric keys to secure the device. Face scanning technology has been applied in Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus which slid in March 2017.Microsoft also has come to apply similar technology in the realm of desktop through Windows Hello for laptop users. These two features have become the mainstream menu among Android smartphones. Apple finally joined and implemented similar technology on the iPhone X. Wireless charging practical and simple, because it does not use a cable that connects directly to the device. Meanwhile, fast charging shorten the time required to charge the battery.

3. Augmented Reality (AR)

Augmented Reality (AR) is a relatively new technology trend in the smartphone world. Two Android manufacturers, namely Lenovo and Asus began offering AR features to consumers. Lenovo since mid 2016 ago, while Asus in early 2017. Apple had demonstrated its AR technology teaser besutannya at WWDC 2017 conference a few months ago. Instead of Virtual Reality, Apple is more interested in AR that combines a variety of graphics and computer information with the real world.

4. Without the home button

iPhone X does not have space for the physical home button because almost all the front consists of the screen. The function of this button was replaced by the gesture of finger gestures sweeping the screen from below, either to wake the device or return to the home screen. Later Android manufacturers have also "eliminated" many physical home buttons from the face of the device, in order to get a wider screen display. Apple resmi mengumumkan kehadiran dari iPhone terbarunya yaitu iPhone X pada Selasa (12/9/2017) di Steve Jobs Theater, kampus Apple Park, Cupertino, Amerika Serikat.

Sebagai penanda ulang tahun ke-10 iPhone, sudah barang tentu iPhone X mengusung sejumlah inovasi baru yang sebelumnya tidak pernah ada di lini iPhone sebelumnya.

Meski begitu, sebagian inovasi yang dibawa oleh iPhone X sebenarnya bukan barang baru, tapi sudah pernah hadir sebelumnya di ponsel-ponsel Android. Apa saja fitur-fitur di iPhone X mencontek smartphone-smartphone flagship Android?

1. Pemindai wajah

Selain sidik jari, bagian wajah belakangan populer dipakai sebagai kunci biometrik untuk mengamankan perangkat. Teknologi face scanning sudah diterapkan Samsung di Galaxy S8 dan Galaxy S8 Plus yang meluncur pada Maret 2017.Microsoft pun telah ikut menerapkan teknologi sejenis di ranah desktop melalui Windows Hello untuk para pengguna laptop.Teknologi face scanning ala Apple semestinya lebih maju, karena didukung oleh perusahaan sekuriti biometrik RealFace awal tahun ini, namun kepintarannya mengenali wajah masih harus diuji.

2. Wireless charging & Fast charging

Dua fitur ini sudah menjadi menu mainstream di kalangan smartphone Android. Apple akhirnya ikut dan menerapkan teknologi serupa pada iPhone X. Wireless charging praktis dan simpel, karena tak memakai kabel yang terhubung langsung ke perangkat. Sementara, fast charging mempersingkat waktu yang diperlukan untuk mengisi baterai.

3. Augmented Reality (AR)

Augmented Reality (AR) adalah tren teknologi yang masih relatif baru di dunia smartphone. Dua pabrikan Android, yakni Lenovo dan Asus mulai menawarkan fitur AR ke konsumen. Lenovo sejak pertengahan 2016 lalu, sementara Asus pada awal 2017. Apple sempat menunjukkan teaser teknologi AR besutannya pada konferensi WWDC 2017 beberapa bulan lalu. Ketimbang Virtual Reality, Apple memang lebih tertarik pada AR yang menggabungkan aneka grafis dan informasi komputer dengan dunia nyata.

4. Tanpa tombol home

iPhone X tak memiliki ruang untuk tombol home fisik karena hampir seluruh bagian depannya terdiri dari layar. Fungsi tombol ini pun digantikan oleh gestur gerakan jari menyapu layar dari bawah, baik untuk membangunkan perangkat maupun kembali ke layar home. Pabrikan-pabrikan Android belakangan juga telah banyak “melenyapkan” tombol home fisik dari muka perangkat, demi memperoleh tampilan layar yang lebih lebar. Terbaru adalah Samsung galaxy Note 8 dan Xiaomi Mi Mix 2.
