Smart Headset Project For Blind People

People who are not able to see have many problem in social life. Sometimes even if they want to go to near somewhere , they need someone’s help. Thanks to smart headset they will not have to struggle with the modern life’s difficulties which are not available for them.

Smart Headset will be having motion sensor , gps and microphone . It will be including all defined roads which the user wants to walk around. Also electric poles, pedestrian crossings, traffic lights and all buildings will be defined into system with a software.

The most of blind people are not able to use the smart phones properly. The user will be able to use the headset without needing to use a phone. Only thing that they need to do is enabling the microphone and saying where they want to go.

The system will guide the user by using gps or installed map to give some orientations. For example , if a person who isn’t able to see wants to do shopping. This seems impossible in normal life. Blind people can go to where ever they want in the shopping center by listening smart headset which already has defined directions. They can command microphone by saying “I want to buy fish” and after that they can go to place that fishes are at. Motion sensor will be helping user to recognize if there is something on the way to be careful.

Enabling gps can be optional. For instance, if the user wants to use the smart headset in a shopping center or a fair where have shorter ways which are installable to software easily compared to streets.

Most of the products which were produced for blinds are glasses. Smart glasses for blinds are addressing to people who have certain rate of seeing abilty. Strengths

Smart Heatset doesnt need to be connected with phones to enable the navigation.
It will be first product which is including all functions which blinds need.
There are some headsets which require to be connected to phone but they are not for people who lost their seeing abilty , you need to have a certain rate of seeing abilty to use them.

Weaknesses

It will have many function without requiring another device . So this may be an factor to increase its cost.

Opportunities

Some countries have some special laws for companies to hire disabled people. For example Turkey. In Turkey , the companies which have 50 employees or more have to employ %4 disabled people. They can employ many blinds by using this headset.
Also shopping centers or the fairs which want to please their visitors can use this headsets.
The modern life designed by people who are not disabled provides a limited life to blinds. This production may be helpful to increase their life quality.

Threats

There are many well-known technology companies which are trying to develope some product for disabled people so introducing the headsmart to people may be hard. Because sometimes people may demand well-known brands.
