RE: Exciting Possibilities of 4K,8K and Beyond
The problem with any TV technology is that they make a progress, but content cannot catch up with it.
Exactly. I mean they can catch up if they wanted to, but it isnt cost effective for studios making the content. They need to wait until the tech has been adopted first then release the content. Which puts many early adopters in a waiting period.
It is the same with chip technology. Hell, most people are still running 32-bit versions of Windows or other operating systems that have 64-bit versions available.
Ditto for number of cores on main onboard and dedicated graphics cards. Many cores are simply not utilized because software hasn't been optimized for it yet.
It's a conundrum, indeed.
Does one buy the latest and greatest - sitting on the bleeding edge - and cross the fingers?
Or does one stay with the waiting herd; the group that is actually stunting any incentives for software or content providers to upgrade?
Imagine that?
Oh. Forgive my lapse in common etiquette.
