The focus of Samsung Electronics in 2018 is the use of artificial intelligence technology (AI) and Internet of Things (IoT) on home and television electronic products.
"We focus on designing and delivering the best technologies and solutions that make it easier for everyday consumers and getting better," Steve Lee, President and CEO of Samsung Electronics, Southeast Asia and Oceania on stage at the Samsung Forum 2018 in Rome, Italy, on Thursday (8/2/2018 ).
Samsung showcased a number of products embedded in AI and IoT technologies on the annual forum. One of the two technology-based products was a smart refrigerator named Family Hub.
This Samsung refrigerator is not really a new item. Previously, Samsung has launched the same product in 2017.
The Family Hub 2018 version does not carry a radical change of design, but Samsung makes it able to talk to and be commanded by voice. All thanks to Bixby technology that works based on AI technology.
samsung has been spearheading IoT for smarthome for quite some time now - its nice to finally see some products to be making their way into homes. love the voice commands and of course self ordering :)
