How to Repair a Router/Modem with Connection Problems
¡Greetings Steemit community!
This time I wrote a tutorial about how to fix a Modem or Router with connection problems, simply changing a small components called capacitors, these are located in the electronic board inside the computer.

PROBLEM 👎
Sometimes we have the problem that the Router or Modem does not allow us to connect to Internet, even though the equipment is on and gives good signals that everything is working perfectly, but we still can not connect.

There may be several causes why we can not connect to the internet:
❶ The Internet service provider is experiencing flaws in its platform or is maintaining (which normally occurs in Venezuela).
❷ Some network or power cable may be disconnected or in bad condition.
❸ The PC may have connection faults also, due to improperly installed driver or hardware failure.
❹ And finally, one of the most common causes but many are unaware, is a problem with the capacitors inside the Router or Modem, they expand and then stop working and hurt the rest of the components that are around of it.
➤ ¿What is a capacitor?
It is a device that stores energy in the form of an electric field, is something like a cell, but it is not the same. These come with different characteristics, work with a certain voltage, have different sizes and come with their respective capacitance.

➤ ¿Why do capacitors / capacitors swell?
This happens because of a sudden change in voltage or a change in temperature that the equipment receives, they only tolerate a certain amount of voltage, therefore these tend to deform, and even some come to explode.
REPAIR 🔧
Now I will show you how to replace this component using a few utensils:
- Cautin (hot gun).
- Soldering tin.
- Component to replace, in this case a capacitor in good condition.
- Screwdrivers.
As a first step we must uncover the Modem or Router that we will fix, and then once identified the blown or exploded capacitor we proceed to remove it using the cautin to desolder it cleanly.

Right picture: The modem card is displayed and inside the red circle is the damaged capacitor to be replaced.

As you can see in the photo the capacitor was removed from its place successfully. In this case this capacitor explodes by the bottom and expels a rubber that has inside.

Then we proceed to replace it with another capacitor that is in good condition with the same specifications as the previous capacitor

And finally, once the capacitor has been replaced, we proceed to test the Modem by reconnecting it to check its operation.

✨ ¡AND DONE! ✨
The modem was fixed successfully, simply by changing a small component without spending almost any money, and we saved the fact of buying a new computer. Note that this arrangement also applies to Routers.
Nothing more to say I hope you liked my post, write your comments and tell me what you think about it.
Thank you very much for reading me.
🙋 💁 🙆
Nice post!
I had the same problem like 2 or 3 month ago.
Very useful, thanks
@ariannavassalla splendiferous,It is nice to follow you. follow up I am sure very good sharing. I'm starting to read it now. I wish you continued success. I will continue to follow you. Take care of yourself, my dear friend .
I rarely saw the cases when users could solve their problems with the internet without additional help. And this fact forced me to buy a good router at once. So, I read this review about the best modem for optimum and I hope it will save me from internet problems.
