RENOWNED HACKER 'VOKSI' ,ARRESTED FOR CRACKING THE STRONG ANTI TAMPERING DRM DENUVO
At the mid of the 2018 , a 21 year old Bulgarian Hacker known as 'Voksi' had gotten arrested as the Bulgarian cyber crime unit raided his house .
His hacker group known as REVOLT was also been shutdown and opening their site redirects to The Bulgarian Ministry of Internal affairs page.
His last big works were cracking Injustice 2 ,which took a whole year to be cracked and no other scene groups were able to do that, and Sonic Mania Plus in which he accuses the devs of the title(SEGA) for being Anti Consumer.
Voksi said that while cracking Sonic he found that the anti piracy system hadn't been deployed properly which means people who buy it will be negatively effected too.He found insane amount of bloated Denuvo code which causes serious slowdowns if not handled properly.
"This issue is serious because it effects the legit users", he says.
This conclude to the point that ,are DRMs so overused that it began to effect the people who really buy the stuff?
The Anti Tampering technologies and the game devs need serious attention towards this.
Devs like CD Projekt Red have gone DRM less to not effect the consumer by any means.
May the devs be more careful and smart while trying to reduce the piracy of their titles and no injustice towards their legit users.
