TechTalk #08 : WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 4G+ AND 5G?
When I started posting this serie of TechTalk, I didn't expect this number of questions and interactions from my readers, so I want to thank all the participants in this debate about evolution of communication. I planned before to describe chronologically in each article a telecommunication's era but now I must dedicate many posts to answer some of yor questions in the previous comments. One of these questions was the difference between 4G+ and 5G.

If we remember before the 3G, there were some of 2G evolutions such as 2.5G (GPRS) or 2.75G (EDGE). Two networks that provide data services in the GSM system which is dedicated to the voice first of all, but once the existing equipments had been swapped we talked about another generation of telecom which support data with a rate better tha EDGE's one. It's the same thing here if we talk about 4G+ or LTE-Advanced which is, as indicated by its name, just another advanced version of 4G without changing equipments. 4G+ or 4.5G can combine two bands for increased speeds instead of one band at time used by 4G network to offer speeds of up to 90Mbps, over four times faster than standard 4G (up to 20Mbps).

@abix great article .can 7G testing will continue in india or other contry? I heard some news so.
for india, we will have to wait till 2021 as ambani is planning to release it in a large area at once!
According to Jim Cathey, senior vice president and president of Asia Pacific and India: “The nationwide implementation of LTE is great, and now we can watch how 5G rolls out in 2019 elsewhere and India can be a fast follower,”
