While the European smartphone market and particularly in France, seems stagnant for several years, OnePlus and Xiaomi seem to be landing at a low price, with the obvious intention of shaking up the brands in place. Offering quality / price ratios that can not be found in the country, Chinese automakers are planning to expand their influence worldwide, going as far as practicing margins of just 5% on smartphone sales. The objective being to bet on the long term, more consequent profits would result subsequently from services dedicated to the mobiles of these marks. Initially considered by some specialists to be unconvincing, and because it was impossible to apply such tariffs in Europe, the OnePlus and Xiaomi offerings now prove the opposite, even offering the luxury of filling a few gaps to adapt at best to the customers of the hexagon.

When we talk about low prices, we do not joke with that at OnePlus and Xiaomi, which offer prices sometimes half as high as Samsung or Apple. This difference can be explained in particular by the fundamental difference in sales strategy between these competitors, with one banking on a maximum margin per device and the other on a maximum number of units sold. It is also important to note that the main weakness originally blamed on Chinese builders was after sales service, but a significant effort has since been made in this area. Indeed, the presence now acquired Xiaomi smartphones among operators Orange, Free Mobile, Bouygues and SFR has opened the doors for an operational service.
