Newbie needing assistance
I have to admit I've never been really great with technology, in terms of setting things up. My steemit account was set up by my husband, my e-mail addresses for about a decade and a half have been set up by him as well, and before him it was my older sister that set them up for me, so yeah I think you get the jist of it. I have an idea as to how to have a profile picture, but the result just turns the tab into "about;blank" instead of the image code in the profile picture box after I try dragging and dropping it. Part of me is wondering if I needed to provide a picture at the time my account was set up, I'm hoping that's not so. Thanks in advance for the much needed advice!
No, you can set up a profile pic or change it at any time.
Find a picture you want to use. If you want to use one of your own, you must upload it somewhere else (Google Photos, Facebook, Flickr, etc)... Then right-click on your photo at that site and select "Copy Image URL".
Then go to your SteemIt Settings page and paste that URL in the appropriate box.
