TECH NEWS #2: Acer launched the first ever tablet that runs the Chrome OS

Its my 2nd blog of my new series 'Tech News'. Actually earlier I posted some tech news too, but from my last post i started it as a series.

Coming to the topic; Acer the Taiwanese manufacturer, has hit the headlines when they launched the first tablet which runs the Google's Chrome OS. So far,Chrome OS runs on desktops, laptops & convertibles, but never on a keyboard-deficient device so this is going to be a device to watch out.

The name of the tablet is ACER CHROMEBOOK TAB 10’.It has a inbuilt stylus support that doesn't require a battery for charging!The tab also supports Google Play Store, so that users can run Android Applications in the device.
The price of this tab is Indian Rupees-21,300 which is around $327 USD.
This tab targets the education community and it's competitor is Apple's low-cost new iPAD, which is also a decent device too. The iPADs price is around Rs.16,800 ($257 USD).But it doesn't feature an inbuilt system. But it comes with Apple's Pencil support, so that's something cool, isn't it?
Now Coming to the specs of Chromebook 10- It comes with a 9.7 inch display, 5MP & 2MP rear and front camera respectively with 4GB of RAM & 32GB expandable memory slot.
It's power- It have a Chrome OS oriented 6 core OP1 chipset. It's estimated battery life is around 9 hours.
Some cool features-
The primary camera will get the Google Expeditions AR functionality which is designed to project 3D objects into the classroom. And Google also added that-“Soon teachers can take the students on Google Expeditions to the International Space Station, Great Barrier Reef,all from the screens of their chrome devices.”
Students can also use their stylus to mark down the notes in Google Keep without the of problem of losing papers.

Acer did something really new & nice with this new tab, because it's a education oriented device conscious to favour teacher–student collaboration.
