Nvidia Announces RTX A2000, Small GPU for Small Form Factor PCs!

in #tech3 years ago

Nvidia has just launched a new GPU called RTX A2000 which is designed for professional users who have PCs with small form factors because they are more space efficient and have less power.

Present as the smallest Ampere-based GPU ever made by Nvidia, the RTX A2000 is indeed made for use in small form factor PCs that have Nvidia's Ray-Tracing and AI capabilities.

It is said that this GPU can deliver up to 8 teraflops of performance thanks to the presence of 3328 CUDA cores, 6GB of GDDR6 memory with ECC, and clock speeds of up to 6001 Mhz which are quite fast.

From the specifications on paper, it seems that the RTX A2000 GPU will provide the same performance as the RTX 3050 on a laptop but with less power because it only consumes 70 watts.

Nvidia itself says that its small GPU is presented to provide the best performance when using 3D modeling applications such as Blender, Autodesk 3DS Max, to Cinema 4D which as we know requires a lot of GPU power to render.

Apart from that, in terms of design, this GPU doesn't have many elements like the RTX 3000 Series GPU and is actually similar to some AMD Radeon GPU models which have a minimalist and clean design.

As for the price, Nvidia plans to sell the RTX A2000 at a price of around US $ 450 and there will be several OEMs such as Asus, Dell. HP, Lenovo, and others are launching this RTX A2000 GPU.
