Uber expands and buys bike sharing platform
Uber is spreading its imperium. The taxi app has bought the app Jump bikes, which is a service where it's possible to rent electrical bikes. The amount that was payed was not disclosed.
The deal was confirmed by the new strong man, Dara Khosrowshahi, on Monday. He stated that it is Uber's goal to reduce traffic jams, reduce exhaust fumes and make city life more enjoyable without people having their own car. The application is currently being rolled out in San Francisco, with other US cities to follow soon.
