Beware, do not accept this man on Facebook

in #tech7 years ago

Facebook users worldwide have been warned not to accept any friendship requests from an account called Jayden K Smith.

The warning message, sent via Facebook Messenger, says this account is a hacker who "has the system to connect to your Facebook account."

Users are distributing this message extensively, but Telegraph.co.uk says the message is a trick.

That's because there's no proof of an account named Jayden K Smith who is sending requests for friendship, but that even if he did, he would not be able to hack your account just by making friends with you.

To send a lot of unfamiliar friendship requests is against Facebook's rules and terms, so such an account will simply shut down.

But this has not prevented the distribution of the message online, even becoming a hit. The message says: "Please tell all people in the Messenger list, not to accept a friendship request from Jayden K Smith. He is a hacker and has the system connected to your Facebok account. If someone from your contacts accepts it, you will also be hacked, so make sure all your friends know. Thank you".

I don't add people that I don't know for this reason. Hackers get more clever by the day.

Just another reason to only have actual friends on FB

Oo thanks for the information

Your very welcome
