It Is Gonna Be Fine Terry, I Promise.
Imagine having to go back home, how we left, "in an ambulance!" We have spent 5 days at the hospital, with my dad sleeping for most of these 5 days and i checked bills and it has already gone past 1000 USD already.
Past 1,100 dollars already.
and for what? "dengue fever", which ofcourse has no cure; so what exactly did they do?
He stayed in the cheapest ward too. I wonder what they did really, other than hydrate him and run series of tests but this isn't surprising. I have been doing this and spending and spending and now i am crashing.
It is just silly. Sometimes, i am just so lost. I know many of the setbacks in my case aren't ordinary. I can't buy a shirt. I can't do anything except cater to setbacks. And setbacks used to be "piece of cake", now it overly crashes me because now, my very body is broken, energy-less and function-less.
Today again, i noticed teardrops.io has been bought, which wasn't the case just days ago when i inquired from @privex about purchasing it. Privex sent me an email today saying that it has been bought.
The markets are crashing and with regards to health, i am my weakest.
My mum died on the 24th of Nov 2017. In a few days, it will be "a year" and i am in the hospital today. Things are worsening. I want to be sad on the 24th. Very sad and broken.
I got so afraid recently but mostly cos i am no longer that old terry. My body has accepted a beaten and when it boils down to it, its over. I can't work even if i have had my health, with my dad here currently and even if i got a job and go kill myself, i can't pay even my current rent.
But someone is still telling me.......
I am looking for one whole day of rest. If i can get that, then just maybe i can do something one more time but i haven't had one day of rest all my life.
They wanted to add more expenses. They spoke of having his sputum checked as they suspect pneumonia too and they also recommended a neuro as they can't explain his non-stop sleep episodes and well, i am saying "no" before i get wrecked and i tell you, at this point, if i get wrecked, there is no getting up.
We will put him back on the ambulance and let's go back home. Perhaps, his mind with re-adjust upon knowing he is at home and he will wake up from his sleep.
I should be happy that he is sleeping. My dad hasn't really slept for some 17 years but these recent episodes of sleep that he has been having is scarey. It is like my mum had on her dying day.
He is a bit better now at least. His mind is now present when you try to awaken him unlike was the case, when these sleep episodes began. He has no energy though, so he can't eat or seat up and he has diapers. At home, there will be "no diapers" though. It takes some 4 people to get him into a diaper. My dad has weight.
I feel he may get energy upon knowledge that he is at home. He doesn't really like hospitals overall and i don't either.
No jokes. That is the very life i live here. Not one soul, will i be able to really turn to when it boils down to it. My sisters helped me for these bills and i am ashamed. I have spent all the years of my life promising them "tears of joy", till date, i have only uttered sorrow.

You may recall I have family in the Philippines and I know all about huge medical bills there. They wont let you leave the hospital if you dont pay.

And yes. I am still trying to get a small discount cos really, the amount is really really high for dengue but the more i spend, trying to acquire a small discount, it gets worse cos another day passes and the bill rises. It all started by the ambulance particular about bringing us to this hospital. I noticed i was signing even for the room-cleaning and toilet paper and decided to check the bill and saw how enormous it has grown.
Oh man, I am not there but I can imagine what you are passing through. Lets see what Nigerians can do to stand with you in this trying times

Mate, google dengue fever papaya leaves...this is what they swear by here in Thailand and here they rarely go to hospital for dengue which is strange because here they normally go for any little thing!
Mourn your Mum, give yourself some space and wake up breathing everyday. You have a right to breathe and live and remember that every pain we go through is temporary.
