The Day I Lost You | a Poem dedicated to my Grandpa
It's proven that the world is round,
But deep inside it's telling me it's square,
Cries from hurts, I hear those sounds,
Filling the corners, there and here.
I've been through bumpy life journeys,
Found a truth unknowingly,
That a genuine wound's malice
Came from those we love truly.
You welcomed me into this world,
Ambiance coated with love and care,
But time is cruel and cold,
Returned the greeting with goodbyes I couldn't bear.
Yes, life is somehow unfair.
Yet it gave me momentous memories with you,
Treasured forever in my heart I swear
Because I love you and that is true.
Rest well my dear, lie down
I have nothing but only infinite gratitude
For all you've done, I offer you this crown
Singing this last song, a farewell étude.
Beautiful
