I remember some times in October 2016, I was going to work along Pako roundabout, the Dopemu axis of Lagos and I had just crossed the express road with my bag clutched to my underarms (If you know Lagos, this isn't entirely strange to you).
An Alfa(a muslim fanatic) just walked up to me, he was looking like a random man. He had his beards just like all Alfas had it.
He said "Sister please excuse me, I am going to Maureen hospital, I am from Ibadan and I have a family member there down with stroke so I need to get a machine down to him so he can survive".He gave me a peek of the machine, all black and red stuff.

In all sincerity I didn't know any Maureen Hospital but I also felt pity for him.
"I don't know the place o" I told him sincerely.
He crossed to the other side of the road while still pressing the supposed machine in his pocket which I later realised was some sort of diabolic charm.

A man that had been standing by the newspaper stand all through our discussion walked up to me as he had been listening to our conversation all along.
"Sister, I know that hospital o. The machine with that man is worth more than 700k. Let's take the man to the hospital, it's just down the road so we would demand 10k each from him. He could be scammed and he looks like he doesn't know anything" The man told me, it indeed was a juicy deal but I didn't feel right about it

"Sir, why not take him there and take the 20k all to yourself" I told him. Normally I would have run off or something but it seemed so real to me. All the while I was discussing with the man, the Alfa was pressing the charm in his pocket restlessly as he crossed back to meet us. I think he thought the charm would have worked and maybe I was brainwashed already but it wasn't so.

He came again and was like "Do you know the place now?" That sounded like he was testing if the charm had worked.
"Please, I am late for work now but this gentleman knows the place so maybe you should follow him" I replied and I did what I should have done earlier. I walked away.

I guess God wanted to dissappoint their vices but all through Lagos not everyone gets as lucky as I did. The only antidote and way you could avoid been a victim of this unfortunate people is to actually run when you see them. You can never be too careful, it doesn't end well for some people, don't be a part of the sad story.

I remembered this incidence on Thursday and I felt so drawn to talk about it, unknown to me someone dear to me was already a victim of this and she wasn't entirely lucky with her possessions. Thank God she is Ok but who knows what else would have happened if not for the help of the Holyspirit of intercession.

I am glad she is ok and I hope the psychological effect won't be long lasting on her.

This is one of the thousand evils that happen in our immediate environment!.
